October 26, 1943 — April 14, 2018

Mr Jimmy Lee McMillan of Old Plantation Drive, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Tucker Hospice House.

His funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at McGill Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Steven Ayers. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM at the church.

Jimmy was born October 26, 1943 in Chatham County to the late Carl McMillan and Illabelle Draughn McMillan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard McMillan. Jimmy retired from Rogers Builders as a commercial building superintendent. His last project was the Billy Graham Library. He was also a member of McGill Baptist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tappy Overton McMillan; daughters, Kimberly Stroud of Kings Mountain, and LeAnne Ortiz of Concord; grandchildren, Diego, Rebecca, and Dominic; brothers, Gilmer McMillan of Roxboro, Roger McMillan of Virginia Beach, and Bobby McMillan of Goldston; sister, Fairbell Pigford also of Goldston; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McGill Baptist Church, 5300 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027 or to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
