Jeffrey Morgan Toughill, Jr., 62, of Concord, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. Jeff was a loving husband, father, son, and friend, and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Jeff was born on November 7, 1961, in Camden, NJ, to Loretta Scheeper Toughill and Jeffrey M. Toughill. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Stanley Toughill. Jeff graduated from Gloucester Community College with a degree in Business.
For over 20 years, Jeff worked as a diesel mechanic for Ryder. Most recently, he served as a Sr. Asset Analyst for Republic Services, where he forged lasting friendships across the country. Jeff had a passion for the outdoors, often spending hours walking and exploring the woods. Gold panning was one of his favorite pastimes. When he wasn't outdoors, he could be found working, tinkering around in the garage, one of his happy places.
Jeff was a dedicated provider for his family and took immense pride in his children, who were the joy of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them and would do anything to support and protect them.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Toughill of Concord; daughter, Nicole “Nikki” Ann Toughill of Concord; sons, Jacob Matthew Toughill of Thailand, Nathan Lee Tate of Concord, Scott Emig of Concord; sisters, Loretta “Lori” Ritorto and husband Rocky of Simpsonville, SC, Bethany Toughill of Pittman, NJ, and Jennifer Toughill of Marlton, NJ; and his beloved grand pups, Roo and Remi.
Jeff's love for the outdoors, his mechanical expertise, and his unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed.
