Jason Andre Salter, born August 21,1972 in Idaho Falls,ID to Betty Jane Wilson and Harold Andre Salter He is survived by his wife Melody Salter, sons Dawson Thomas (19) and Noah James (17) and daughter Kaylee Elizabeth (25). He also leaves behind the two youngest loves of his life, grandsons Michael Wyatt Salter (5) and Tucker James Russell (3).
The family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2020 , from 3-4 PM at Wilkinson Funeral Home in Concord, NC, with a memorial service to follow at 4 PM in the chapel.
Jason graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1990. He went on to join the US Navy and was a submariner from 1991-1997. He spent the last 22 years working for Wells Fargo Bank as a Technology Delivery Manager.
Anyone that knew Jason, knew how proud he was of his military service and how much he loved his family. Not only is he leaving behind family, but tons of friends, coworkers and shipmates who loved him dearly.
As soon as the boys could hold a bat and glove, Jason started coaching them in baseball. He was not only a coach to his sons but many other children throughout the years. He will always been known as "Coach Jason" to many.
With his infectious smile, laugh and huge heart, he leaves an amazing legacy.
Jason is also survived by his sister, Erin Elizabeth Salter, his "brother from another mother" Bryon Elee Greene. Also his step sisters, Brandi Smith and Natty Tipton and stepmother, Linda Salter.
Jason is now in Heaven listening to Buffett with his dearly departed Aunt Brenda, Uncles Bill and Jerry, his Grandma Salter, and Grandma and Grandpa Wilson.
