Jason Barron

Mr. Jason "Stumpy" Timothy Barron, age 45, of Kannapolis, NC entered into the open arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

A Firefighter's funeral will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 23rd at Eastwood Baptist Church in Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Randall Ritchie and Evangelist Tommy Barron. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home.

Jason was born November 21, 1979 in Charlotte, NC to the late James and Patricia Barron. He was also preceded in death by his beautiful nieces Felicia Barron and Megan Medlin.

Before he was forced to retire from a long period of declining health, Jason worked at Kar-Mar Tire in Kannapolis for over 20 years for Todd Haynes, who became a very special person to the family. Jason was a volunteer firefighter with Mount Mitchell, Atwell, and Enochville Fire Departments. He loved to give back to his community and help others.

Jason is survived by his wife Stacy of 28 years; daughter Savannah of Kannapolis; son Justin (Nikky) of Ohio; brother Evangelist Tommy and Angie Barron of Richfield, NC; grandsons who he helped raise Ashton and Weston; mother-in-law Patricia Greene; and many nieces and nephews, along with lots of bonus children.
