Janice Cook

Mrs. Janice Rose Cook, 91, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Atrium Health-Cabarrus, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Carolina Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Chris O’Guin. The family will greet friends following the service.

Janice was born on June 30, 1933, in Concord, NC, to the late Agnes Waters Cook and James H. Cook. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret McManus.

Janice graduated from Winecoff High School and dedicated over 40 years of service as an operator at Concord Telephone Company, where she cherished the lifelong friendships she formed. A longtime and faithful member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, Janice served her church family in various roles throughout her life.

She is survived by her son, Hoyte “Lee” Foster, Jr., and wife, Meche, of Rockwell; granddaughter, Kristi Miller, and husband, Joseph, of Faith; and great-granddaughter, Lealynn Miller; niece, Sherry McManus; nephew, David McManus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 Highway 49 S, Concord, NC 28025.
