Janette Darlene Allman King, 67, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at Harmony United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1 pm officiated by Rev.’s Thad Brown and Jimmy Barrett. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm prior to the service at the church.
Janette was born on May 16, 1954 in Concord to the late Vivian Hartsell Allman and Norman Eugene Allman. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wayne Allman.
Janette graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School, and Kings Business College where she received an Associate’s degree. She worked at Dr. Doug Kelling’s office for many years.
Janette enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ernie and daughter, Amanda, camping everywhere from the mountains to the beach. She also loved to dance and play cards. She enjoyed shopping, watching movies, and getting her nails done with her granddaughter, Alex. Janette had a green thumb, and she used that gift by taking care of her beautiful flowers and plants. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest ‘Ernie” L. King, Jr.; daughter, Amanda Jean King; granddaughter, Alexandria “Alex” Jean Dautel; great-grandson, Andreas Lee Torrence; and brother, Bobby E. Allman.
