Jane Alice Deserio

November 25, 1947 — May 3, 2019

Jane Alice DeSerio, 71, of Concord, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 3, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eugene May officiating. The family will receive friends at their home following the service.

Born on November 25, 1947 in Lafayette, Indiana, Jane was the daughter of the late Clyde and Harriet Flora Netherton.

As a natural born musician and artist, Jane found beauty in every little thing. She played the piano beautifully and always had a piano in her home. Her love for the Lord gave her a passion for serving. She was prayer warrior and would pray with anyone at any time. She found joy in designing and making cards for her family and friends. Following God’s calling, she also volunteered her time at the Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Jane and Alan loved to travel, making several trips to Israel and to the mountains during the fall foliage, her favorite time of the year. Simply being in nature, watching the birds or observing the beautiful blooms on her azaleas brought her peace.

As an inventive cook, there was never “too little” for Jane to work with in the kitchen. She always found a way to provide a delicious meal for her family. Her sweet tooth made her an amazing baker, and she loved to make an assortment of cookies and pies for everyone to enjoy.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Alan DeSerio; children, Michael DeSerio and wife, Emily; David DeSerio and wife, Stephanie; and Joel DeSerio and wife, Jessie; four grandchildren, Grace (7), Maple (5) Atticus (2), and Olive (1); sister, Suzanne Cravens of Minnesota; brothers, David Netherton of California and Paul Netherton of Florida; and her canine companion, Leo.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018.
