James "Jim" Robert White, 82, of Kannapolis, went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Tucker Hospice House 17 hours after he was transferred from Hospice Home Care. He was surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of Jim' s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Charity Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Marty Payton and Rev. Tom Dolinger, with entombment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 prior to the service at church.

Jim was born on July 3, 1939 in Gaffney, SC to the late Lillie Martha Priscilla Harrill White and John Robert "Carl" White. He is also preceded in death by his son, John "Johnny" William White; brother, Billy "Bill" E. White; sister, Barbara Sue White Moore.
Jim' s work career spanned 30 years with Winn Dixie and 15 with Lowes Home Improvement in sales and marketing. One of Jim' s gifts was never meeting a stranger as well as helping and serving and meeting his customers' diverse needs. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during the Cold War. Jim was a Master Gardener and enjoyed sharing his plants with anyone who stopped and admired them. He loved nature and had feeding stations for many varieties of birds. Spreading the word of Christ was Jim' s greatest joy.
He sought to share God's word through teaching and witnessing across the states by word, deed and Remembrance Stones.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty " Jean" McDonald White; son, Jeffery "Jeff" Alan White and wife, Ann; daughter-in-law, Ming Juan Sheng White Cibik and her husband, Dustin; grandchildren, J.J. White, CJ. White and wife, Morgan, Hunter White, Benji White; great-granddaughter, Livi White.
