Col. James Anthony Patterson, 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm, on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Randy Addison. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:00pm prior to the service.
Burial with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Jim was born on May 21, 1946 in Glen Ridge, NJ to the late Col. James Henry Patterson (Ret.) and the late Alexandra Nurkowski Patterson. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Rosemarie Bighia.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of Colonel. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a defense system analyst for CAS, Inc., a weapon system analysis contractor for the Department of Defense. He received an undergraduate degree from Creighton University; as well as, a Masters Degree from Penn State.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Skirving Patterson; daughter, Heidi Liddle and husband, Greg; sons, Brian Patterson and wife, Janelle, Eric Stauffer and wife, Sierra; brother, Larry Patterson and wife, Vicky; grandchildren, Madison and Kaitryn Liddle, Bennett and Bowen Patterson, Easton and Max Stauffer.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Levine Cancer Institute, Liver & Pancreatic Care Advancement Fund would be appreciated.
