Jim was born July 23, 1950, in Windsor, NC. and was the son of James Oliver Bonds, Sr. and Rose White Bonds, stepmother Nan Allen Bonds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip John Bonds.
Jim is a graduate of Concord High School, and he always loved the Concord Spiders. He was a member of the legendary DHD. Jim graduated from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, N.C. He was a humble man with a big heart who loved and adored his family. He enjoyed coaching the youth at the Boys and Girls Club. He also enjoyed cooking and hands down was the best chef ever (The Food Network wanted to give him his own show but to their loss he declined); he loved riding his Kawasaki Vulcan, good ole rock and roll, playing golf and was a huge Eagles Football fan. Jim was a man who liked adventure, enjoyed planning meaningful, fun family vacations to the beach, mountains and beyond. His latest passion was being a grandpa to James the IV!
Jim led by example and taught his children that family is everything and to always lead and never follow.
