Jacqueline Jean Pardue Eudy, 94, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
A memorial service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 24, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Collier officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm.
Jacqueline was born September 12, 1923 in Lancaster, SC to the late Henry Chester Pardue and Effie Lingle Pardue. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Concord where she served in many capacities, including teaching Sunday school for over 30 years. Jacqueline graduated from Furman University starting her teaching career in Welcome, NC and continued at Winecoff Elementary School. Teaching was her life, even as a little girl she knew her calling in life was to teach; she taught for over 34 years. When Jackie retired she continued to do what she loved-working with literacy programs though local organizations. Jackie’s grandchildren were her greatest joy and they enjoyed their time together.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Eudy, Sr.; sister, Margaret Pardue Morgan; brother, William Chester Pardue; grandson, Andrew Graham Pittman.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha “Mopsi” Eudy Pittman and husband, Henry; son, William Ray Eudy, Jr. and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Jennifer Eudy; grandsons, Joshua Eudy and wife Jessica, Austin Pittman and wife, Morgan; great grandsons, Grayson Eudy and Perry Pittman.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Brian Center for their loving care and to her long time neighbors for their loving friendship.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Childrens Homes of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27360.
