After his return home he owned and operated two service stations while being a full-time police officer for the City of Concord. After Ike left the police department he sold his gas stations which lead to Ike buying several over the road tractor trailers, when this industry slowed down he sold his trucks. With a stroke of luck Ike answered a add in the newspaper for a salesman position for Hydrotex Lubricants out of Dallas Texas. Ike was an award-winning salesman throughout his career. Ike loved his job and didn’t retire until his mid 70’s he remained loyal to Hydrotex until his death, always convincing others that his products were the best.
Ike’s hobbies were fishing, hunting, and golf. You could often find Ike watching Gunsmoke and the Andy Griffith Show or on his back porch smoking his cigar. Ike is survived by his best friend Gary Tuck of Omaha Nebraska.
Ike was a loving and caring friend who will be missed by many including his four furry companions.
