Jean Kennedy Simpson

Mrs. Jean Kennedy Simpson, 85 of Concord passed away on November 29, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Simpson was born on February 14, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Zeb Vance and Mary Margaret Polk Kennedy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Brice Simpson. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her daughter Gena Simpson Brown (Charlie) of Holden Beach, one son, Tony Simpson of Concord, one brother Eddie Kennedy (Linda), brother-in-law Jack Furr, Granddaughters Kristina Hines (Nicholas) , Amber Llambias (Steven), and Misty Bridges; great granddaughter Harper Kennedy Thore.
Mrs. Simpson or “Gran” by which she enjoyed being called by her family enjoyed spending time at the beach surf fishing, spending time with her family and shopping as well, and her fur-baby Pixie. Mrs Simpson was Co-Owner of Kennedy Oil Company.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2022 at West Concord Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jesse Watkins. The family will greet friends following the service.
