Harriet Benson

Mrs. Harriet Smith Benson, 70, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 4:00pm, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Forest Hill United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Mandy N. Jones and Rev. Suzanne Dornsmith. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 prior to the service in the Church Parlor.
Harriet was born on July 20, 1945 in Charlotte to the late Eugene and Hazel Roberson Smith.
She is survived by her husband, David A. Benson; daughter, Michele Dyer; son, Scott Dyer and wife, Amanda; brother, Kenneth Smith and wife, Vicki; step-son, Aaron Benson and wife, Lori; step-mother, Pauline S. Richardson; grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Forrest, Rebecca Dyer, Reagan, Parker, Carter Benson; brother-in-law, Bruce G. Benson and wife, Joan; sister-in-law, Karol J. Garrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Hill UMC, 265 Union St. N, Concord, NC 28025.
