CONCORD- Mr. Frank Rush passed away at the age of 84.
A 3pm, Saturday January 14, memorial service will be held at Wilkinson Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Julie Hill officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Frank was born October 31, 1938 in Selma, Alabama to Frank W. and Leila Hillman Rush. He graduated from high school in Enterprise, Mississippi, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, and then his MBA from UNCC. He also served in the Army Security Agency for three years.
After college, Frank started his work history in public accounting as a CPA. He then became a financial manager in industry and finished his career in wholesale distribution with a thirty-two-year career with Hughes Supply, Inc. There he served in various positions including finance, acquisitions, and general management.
Frank was most happy when on the golf course and had played on many over the years. He always remembered the day he first broke eighty and talked more about that than the day he made a hole in one. He also enjoyed traveling. On one adventure he flew “around the world.”
Mr. Rush is survived by his wife, Ellen Eller Rush; six children, Gerald MacClamrock and wife Carol of Hudson, Carla MacClamrock of Raleigh, Misty Hudson of Hendersonville, Randy Rush of Orlando, Florida, Candice MaClamrock and Brian Morgan of Concord and Lauren McInnis and husband Terry of Concord; sister, Ann Almond and husband Dick of Parker, SD; eleven grandchildren, Clint Scarborough and wife Brooke, Brittany Rush, Camille Corbett, Cathryn Corbett, Randy Rush Jr., Chase Corbett, Madison Hudson, Walker Hudson, Austin McInnis and Reid Morgan, Violet MacClamrock; and four great grandchildren.
