Faye Baucom

September 16, 1926 — January 8, 2018

Mrs. Lila Faye Wood Baucom of Locust St. NW, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at NorthEast Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday at Royal Oaks Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Yates. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning the 1:30 PM at the church.

Faye was born September 16, 1926 in Gastonia to the late John Early Wood and Bessie Annabelle Bollinger Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Alexander Baucom; and sister, Juanita Jonas. Faye retired from Terry Products after 22 years. She enjoyed reading and word search books, and travelling with friends. Faye was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Reba B. Smith of the home; grandchildren, Michelle Lenzer of Concord, and Eric Haney of Salisbury; great grandchildren, Eddie and Kody Lenzer; brother, Bill Wood and wife Ruth of Mt. Holly; sister, Pat Onofrio and husband Dan of Mt. Holly; sister-in-law, Betty Davis of Charlotte; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Royal Oaks Baptist Church, 904 Texas St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
