Ms. Evelyn Lee Beaver Allman, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Pruitt Health in Harrisburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 28 at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 am Wednesday, May 29 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Ms. Allman was born January 22, 1927 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Willie Lee and Naomi Ruth Medlin Beaver. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Kluttz; son, Will Allman; and her sister, Fannie Mae Beaver Parrish.
Evelyn retired from S&D Coffee, having worked in several positions within the company. She was a longtime, active member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, where she served in many areas of the church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, collecting lighthouses and bells, and watching game shows. Her music had to be upbeat and lively.
Those left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Angie Garrett and husband Tommy, Barbara Eldridge and husband, Pete, all of Concord, and Gina Walker and husband, Shane of Hawaii; grandson, Chris Kluttz and wife Meagan of Holden Beach; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Garrett, Tiffany Lowe, Amber Eldridge, Bailey, Madison and Camden Kluttz; great-great-grandchildren, Abigail Kennedy, Avery Clark, and Bentley Linker.
