Emily Doheny

Emily Doheny, 89, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 AM.

Emily was born on February 8, 1936, in Dublin, Ireland. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Declan and Phillip, and her sister, Patricia. She is survived by her beloved sister, Agnes, and Agnes' husband, Sid, along with her cherished nieces, Jenny and Carolina.

Emily had a passion for beauty and worked as a beautician in New York and Florida before eventually settling in Concord. She later worked at Cannon Mills in Kannapolis, where she became known for her warm spirit and hardworking nature.

Agnes and her family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who provided care and kindness to Emily in her final weeks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. James the Greater Catholic Church Maintenance Fund.
