Mrs. Sehorn was born September 28, 1926 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Lewis R. Lyles and Grace Van Pelt Lyles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Sehorn, grandson, Timothy Johnson, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Edna retired from Cannon Mills and was a longtime member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She was active in her church including the choir. She loved trips to the beach, watching sports of any kind and shopping. Edna had one vise in that she wasn't ready to grow old. Up until her 90th birthday, she was getting her hair done and getting her monthly mani/pedi. She was nearly deaf, but wanted no part of a hearing aid and was determined to stay in her own home as long as she was able. Edna loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they all will miss her dearly.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Frances White and husband, Louis of Concord; granddaughters, Elizabeth Johnson and husband, Sidney Lawson of Kannapolis and Alice Johnson and husband, James Collins of Concord; great-grandchildren, Cody, Michael, Chloe, Knowshon and Carley; many nieces, nephews and her church family.
Memorials may be made to Harmony United Methodist Church at 406 Union Cemetery Road SW, Concord, NC 28027.
