Earl Lee Sr. Goodman

Mr. Earl Lee Goodman, Sr., 91, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, March 7, 2016 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Cheryl Skinner and Rev. Wes Judy. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Earl was born on October 5, 1924 in Cabarrus Co. to the late R.D. Goodman and Sophia Moose Goodman. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lillian W. Goodman; brothers, Vic Goodman, Ray Goodman, and Cary Goodman.
Earl was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Winecoff Volunteer Fire Department, and the Winecoff Lions Club. He was also a member of the board of directors of CHS-Northeast, and Winecoff School Road Farmers market. Earl enjoyed driving his tractor, farming, fishing, boating and hunting. He had retired from Cannon Mills after many years of work.
He is survived by his daughter, Frances G. Triece and husband, Charles; son, Lee Goodman and wife, Padgett; sister, Ruth Corriher and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Jeff Triece and wife Monica, Jennifer Triece Deese and husband Mike, Mark Goodman and wife Carla, Brad Goodman and special friend Kim Tweedy; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan, and Patrick Deese, Marissa Goodman, Zachary and Jeremy Triece.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet UMC, 301 Mt. Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025.
