Dianne Farthing

January 18, 1943 — July 8, 2018

Dianne Corzine Farthing of Conover, and formerly of Concord, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.

A visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Friendship United Methodist Church in Newton. Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday at Boger Reformed Church in Concord. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at the church, and burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Dianne was born January 18, 1943 in Concord to the late Martin “Buss” L. Corzine and Ruth Little Corzine. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Farthing.

Dianne retired as Health Care Manager for Transitional Health Care in Kannapolis. She later volunteered at the Catawba Valley Medical Center. Dianne was a member of Boger Reformed Church and was active in the Summer Reading Program at Friendship United Methodist Church in Newton.

Dianne is survived by her son, David M. Farthing and wife, Angie of Conover; grandchildren, Jonathan Farthing and Kathryn Hermance and her husband Ryan; and her faithful canine companion, Doodle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
