With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Mr. David Wayne Hussey, 65, of Concord, who left us on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at his home.
Born on December 19, 1958, in Kansas City, MO, David was the beloved son of Rosanne “Sassy” Keen and the late George Owen Hussey. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Darren Lee Hussey and Douglas Owen Hussey.
David is survived by his mother, Rosanne “Sassy” Keen, and her husband, Ned Finney.
David worked at Lowe’s where he was deeply committed to his job and cherished his colleagues. A proud member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), David enjoyed riding with his group, sharing a passion for motorcycles and fellowship. He was a devoted member of Kannapolis Moose Lodge #1722, where he formed countless friendships and created many fond memories.
David was known for his humility and willingness to help anyone in need. His presence was always accompanied by a glass of sweet tea or Diet Dr. Pepper, a simple testament to his love for life’s little pleasures.
A funeral service to honor David’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Bethel Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis, officiated by Pastor Joe Harding. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kannapolis Moose Lodge #1722, 1860 Bostian Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
David's legacy of kindness, humility, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
