Conrad Gordon Cagle

May 4, 1931 — October 3, 2017

Mr. Conrad Gordon Cagle, age 86 passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 6 from 12:30 to 2 PM at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 PM with Pastor David Hughes officiating. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park.

Mr. Cagle was born May 4, 1931 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late William D. Cagle and Gertrude Eudy Cagle.

Conrad graduated from Concord High School in 1949, and went to work at the Concord Telephone Company in the engineering department. He served in the U.S. Army Second Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict and later returned to the telephone company. Conrad worked there for 45 years and retired March 1, 1994. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Oasis Shriners and the Stokes Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Culp Cagle; children, Lisa Ryan and her husband, Jim and Bob Lawhon, all of Charlotte; sisters, Anne Andrews and Peggy Stevens; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to Oasis Shriners, 605 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC 28262.
