Charlie was born in 1928, in Cabarrus County, NC, to William T. and Bertha M. Sehorn. He graduated from Winecoff High School in 1947 and married the love of his life, Christine Nichols, in 1952. They had a wonderful life together, raising their family, working hard, and traveling all over the United States. Their favorite place to visit was Montana. Charlie loved the building mission trip that they took together, to Mexico, along with other members of Epworth Methodist Church.

Growing up on a farm, Charlie learned the value of hard work. Among the various jobs he held was his time working in Cannon Mills, and his time working for construction companies. He took what he learned and started his own company, which became Hallmark Homes, Inc. Many folks today fondly recall buying their quality homes from him. He was a dependable, honest, hardworking businessman. He was a charter member and past president of the Cabarrus County Home Builders Association, and he received many awards, including Realtor of the Year and Builder of the Year. More recently, one of his projects was the development of Copperfield Boulevard, with his business partner and friend, Bub Craver.

Charlie proudly served for 25 years in the NC National Guard Army Reserve. He was also active in the Methodist Men of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Noon Optimists, and the Shriners.

Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife Christine, his parents, and his brothers Gene, Pete, Leon and Marshall.

He leaves behind his children, Sheela Repoley of Asheville NC, Mike Sehorn and his wife Kathy, of Missoula, Montana, and Nancee Propst and her husband Mike, of Concord, NC.

Charlie was dearly loved by his grandchildren: Willie Repoley and his wife Sarai of Asheville NC, Christina Repoley and her husband Dean Leeper of Atlanta Georgia, Ashley Sehorn of Missoula Montana, Travis Sehorn and his partner Ariel Morgan of Palermo Maine, Ross Propst and his wife Dhara Shah Propst of Concord NC, and Susan Matthews and her husband Timmy of Concord, NC.

Charlie was great grandfather “Papa” to 5 greats: Kate and Bertie Repoley of Asheville, Harmon and Dela Leeper of Atlanta, and Sequin Sehorn of Maine.

Charlie truly enjoyed talking with people. His friendliness and positive outlook will be remembered by his many loving nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. To quote one of his friends, “What a blessing for those of us who had the honor and pleasure of having Charlie in our lives. We are better people for having known him.”

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caring staff at Morningside of Concord, especially Joyce and Sherrie, and his Hospice nurses Kim and Gloria.
