CONCORD- Mr. Charles Eugene “Gene” Isenhour, Jr. passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at CHS-University Hospital.
His funeral will be 2 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. James Collier and Dr. Eugene Hunsinger. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon Tuesday at the church.
Gene was born November 10, 1943 in Charlotte to the late Charles E. Isenhour and Faye Cochrane Isenhour. He was the owner of Terminal Trucking. An entrepreneur at heart, he was always involved in business deals. On his softer side, Gene was an active member of the community. He was also involved with Concord High School, the Boys and Girls Club, and First Baptist Church. Gene had a generous spirit for philanthropy.
Gene is survived by his wife, Mary Baggs Isenhour; daughters, Boo Rogers and husband Lawson, Brooke Collins and husband Kerry, and Breeze Smith and husband Stuart; grandchildren, Mary Charles and Lawson Rogers, Riley Collins, Parker, Jackson and Berkley Smith; sister, Fay Holmes and husband John; and a number of nieces and nephews.
