Jeanette Shelton Cline passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2017 after a brief period of declining health.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jeanette Cline will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at 2 PM at Wilkinson Funeral Home, 100 Branchview Dr., Concord, with Pastor John Futterer officiating.
Jeanette was born on August 1, 1930 in Draper (Eden), NC, a daughter of the late Noel and Mary Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh W. Cline and a sister, Carolyn S. Griffith.
Jeanette graduated Valedictorian of her class from Draper High School. She and Hugh married August 7, 1949 in Draper. They lived in Kannapolis where Hugh managed the Belk store. After raising her three boys, Jeanette worked at Belk-Carolina Mall in Concord. She enjoyed selling fine women's clothing to many loyal customers for almost 25 years. She was frequently the top sales person of the year.
Jeanette's focus in life was always her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her three sons, Dr. Hugh W. Cline, Jr. and wife, Cyndi of Chester, VA, Dr. W. Randall Cline and wife, Ann of Charlotte, and Todd S. Cline of Concord, NC;
her six grandchildren, Hugh W. Cline, III, Scott Cline, Kathleen Cline, Mary Cline, Emily Cline and Zach Cline; her sister, Mignon S. Moore of Bassett, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Charlotte Square Assisted Living and Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, for their compassionate care for Jeanette.
