Carolyn Ledbetter

Mrs. Carolyn Bernice Scoggin Ledbetter, age 80 of Kannapolis, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, June 4 2024.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6 from 10 to 11 am at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A service of celebration will be held in the chapel at 11 am with a family friend, Tony Riddle officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Carolyn was born September 6, 1943 in Grapeland, Texas, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Alma Scoggin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Max Wallace Ledbetter; grandson, Coleman Mitchell; son-in-law, Michael Cawley; siblings, Bob and Jerry Scoggin, Evelyn Lane, Ruby Clark, and Faye Scoggin.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Mitchell and husband, Roland of Kannapolis, and their sons, Tyler Mitchell and wife, Taylor, and their daughter, Tinley of Jonesboro, AR, and Hayden Mitchell of Kannapolis; daughter, Teressa Cawley and her son, Michael Joseph Cawley of Boca Raton, FL.; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a tax-deductible donation may be made to the Coleman Mitchell Foundation, 5555 Dogwood Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28081. 100% of these funds will go to the work being done in Uganda.
