Mrs. Carol Ann Mansmann of Concord, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2023, with her loving husband by her side and the caring assistance at Tucker Hospice House.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 1:30 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church officiated by Father Glenn Parker. A Celebration of Life gathering location will be in the church hall immediately after the service.
Carol was born to the late Charles Regis Biere and Margaret Rodgers Biere on July 18, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA. The second of three children who have also preceded her in death were her older sister Delores Urbanowicz and younger brother Charles Biere.
Carol grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, graduating from St. Basil's High School. She met Rick and after a short courtship, married in 1957. They spent their first years in Dover, DE while Rick served in the United States Air Force. With their three kids, they moved to South Florida in 1963. Later, relocating to Concord, NC for the past 27 years.
Known for her quick wit and love of her family, Carol had a competitive side and enjoyed bowling and playing tennis. As an avid cook, she loved to share the secret Biere family recipes with her daughters and granddaughters.
Carol is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard H. Mansmann; children Linda Rayle and husband Stuart of Concord, NC, Coleen Withrow and husband Bill of Harrisburg, NC, and Richard Mansmann and wife Keely of Lake City, FL; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Amanda, Michael, Amber and Brandon as well as her seven great grandchildren, Cameron, Logan, Connor, Hadley, Jacob, Oliver and Levi.
