Bucky Lee Cooper

KANNAPOLIS- Bucky Lee Cooper, 69 passed away at CHS-Northeast on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Eva Drive Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Navey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm at the church. Burial will immediately follow at West Concord Cemetery.

Bucky was born in Cabarrus County on March 11, 1948. He was one of four children born to Charlie and Wilma Taylor Cooper. He was drafted to serve in Vietnam with the US Army. He loved to play golf, watch golf, and he worked part-time at Rolling Hills Golf Course. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel Cooper.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Ruby Biggers Cooper; son, Todd Cooper of Kannapolis; daughter, Dawn C. Williams and husband, Bruce of Kannapolis; brothers, Randy Cooper and wife, Debbie of Concord and Floyd Ray Cooper of Concord; grandchildren; Charles Williams, Brittany Elder and husband, Joshua, and Steven Cooper; and his beloved pets, Chuck, Buck, Josie, Molly, and Simba.

Memorials may be made to Eva Drive Baptist Church, 2390 Eva Dr., Concord NC 28027.
