In Loving Memory of Mr. Brion “Shawn” Anderson
Mr. Brion “Shawn” Anderson, 52, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 19, 1971, in Fort Myers, Florida, to Laura Anderson and the late Gerald Anderson. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Lois Arlene Alexander; uncle, Dave Alexander; son, Zachary Ty Scott.
Shawn was a true jack of all trades, known for his collection of various items, but most importantly, his collection of friends. He possessed an unparalleled loyalty and was a friend to everyone he met. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Shawn will be remembered for filling every room with his infectious laughter and undeniable charm.
Above all else, Shawn took immense pride in being a father and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, taking every opportunity to brag and dote on them.
Among his favorite things was his beloved dog, Buddy Barker, and his passion for collecting what could only be described as his own personal treasures. He spent much of his time with his cherished fiancée, Rhonda.
Shawn marched to the beat of his own drum, unapologetically living life on his own terms. He possessed a uniquely kind heart and always meant well in his actions, even if not always fully understood by others. Funny, loving, charismatic, and undeniably cool, Shawn had a magnetic presence that drew people to him, and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his lifelong partner and fiancée, Rhonda Jones Wells; grandfather, William Alexander; mother, Laura Anderson; brother, Byron Erik Anderson; daughter, Haley Anderson and husband, Daniel Dantzler; sons, Gary Ryan Scott and Justin Lee Scott; grandchildren, Tre’Ryan Scott, Sage Lucas Scott, Kaili Marie Scott, and Abigail Hope Scott; niece, Kirsten Paige Anderson; nephew, Gavin Scott Anderson; great-nephew, Bennett William Koontz; beloved dog, Buddy Barker.
The family will greet friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Wilkinson Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 pm.
May Shawn rest in peace, knowing he was dearly loved and will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
