Mrs. Brenda McElveen Troutman passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home.
A graveside service will be 4 PM Wednesday at Glenwood Memorial Park in Mooresville officiated by Rev. James Strickland. The family will receive friends following the service.
Brenda was born April 12, 1942 in Rowan County to the late George Gamel McElveen and Mary Sue Poole McElveen. She was also preceded in death by husband Larry W. Troutman, brother George McElveen Jr., and sister Elaine Ballard.
After college, Brenda worked at Central United Methodist Church as Director of Christian Education. She later taught in public and private schools in Concord, Harrisburg, Salisbury and Charlotte. Brenda enjoyed music, singing, and doing needle work.
Brenda is survived by daughter E. Banning Troutman of Concord, sister Christa Owens and husband Frank, and brother Ron McElveen all of Mooresville, and other extended family members.
Wilkinson Funeral Home is assisting the Troutman family.
