Bette Kindley

Mrs. Betty Jean “Bette” Fletcher Kindley passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mark Weathers and Brett Wood. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bette was born October 15, 1928 in Concord to the late James Odell Fletcher and Katie Nelson Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband Marshall “Wimp” Kindley, brother James “Boots” Fletcher, and sister Margaret Fletcher.

Bette was retired from Kaiser-Roth Hosiery and Concord Ware House, and was also a member of Branchview First Church of God. To know Bette was to love her and her personality.

Bette is survived by son Michael F. Kindley and wife Eun Sil, daughter Gina K. Leslie and husband Robert, all of Concord; grandsons Nathan Leslie of Nashville, TN, Andrew Leslie of Charlotte, and Ethan Kindley and wife Megan of Spring Lake, NC; and great granddaughter Claire Kindley.

Memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
