Betty Sue Faggart Cline, 94, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Betty was born on April 21st, 1930 in Concord to the late William Harry Faggart and Zanie Irene Hannah Smith Faggart. Betty was preceded in death by her husband William Burns “Bub” Cline, her daughter-in-law Theresa Efird Cline, and her grandson Randall “Randy” Wayne Cline. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia “Cindy” Cline Mabrey (Craven), son William Danny Cline (Cindy), and son Ivey Wayne Cline (Lisa), granddaughter Lori Mabrey Reese (Daryl), grandson Steven Chad Cline, granddaughter Jessica Cline Peterson (Lee), and great-grandchildren Evan Reese, Hayley Reese, Hunter Cline, Riley Cline, Alicia Cline Mabry (Will), and Karmen Teal, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty’s life’s work was farming where she was a partner with her husband and then son and nephew in Rolling Acres Farm for many years. She loved to garden, spend time in Maggie Valley, can vegetables, cook and serve others. She was a life-long member of Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, served faithfully as a member of the women’s circle ministry as well as the annual Bar-B-Que. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them at family gatherings and holidays. She was never happier than with a home full of people eating and laughing and enjoying time together.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 21st at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church at 3pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1pm.
