Betty Carrow

June 28, 1929 — February 9, 2023

Mrs. Betty Williams Carrow of Concord passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Steven Ayers. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Betty was born June 28, 1929 in Ronda, WV to the late Earl and Ruby Hodges Williams. She grew up in Dry Branch, WV and graduated from East Bank High School. Betty later retired from Pitney Bowles in Cleveland, OH. Betty and her husband Lawrence enjoyed “mall walking” at Concord Mills, and she volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Betty was a member of McGill Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her husband of 74 years Lawrence G. Carrow; daughter, Karen C. Miller and husband, Frederick of Concord; son, Gary Carrow and wife, Charlotte of Litchfield, OH; grandchildren, Frederick Miller, Jr., Matthew Miller, Kevin Miller, Shane Carrow, and Erin Caron; great grandchildren, Kasey, Lilly, and Cole Caron; brother, Jack Williams of Dry Branch, WV, and a number of extended family members.

Memorials may be made to McGill Baptist Church, 5300 Poplar Tent Rd., Concord, NC 28027.
