Benny Carroll Frazier, age 86, of Newland, North Carolina, the Land Harbor Community, passed away January 29, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Concord, NC.
He was born June 2nd, 1931 in Erwin TN, son of Rosa Beatrice Young Frazier and Joseph Carroll Frazier. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Amanda Long Frazier, and son Ben Carroll Frazier
Benny, a veteran, served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He later received a bachelor’s degree in Business from East Tennessee State University. The bulk of his career was spent with the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlanta, GA. In retirement he and Amanda settled in Newland, NC in the Linville Land Harbor community. Benny loved playing golf and tennis and they both participated in numerous other activities. They became dear friends with so many in that community and they were both well liked and known for their beautiful smiles and the kindness they showed to all.
Benny leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters, Meredith Morgan Fraser (and husband Blake Fraser) of Snellville, GA, and Rose Culbreath (and husband John Culbreath) of Concord, NC. He was loved and will be missed by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Benny Carroll Frazier will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:30AM at Connect Christian Church. 3101 Davidson Hwy. Concord, NC, 28027 with Reverend Kathy Campbell officiating.
