Barbara Bolton

Mrs. Barbara Ruth Bolton, age 70, of Spencer, NC passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Tucker Hospice House on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 11 from 12 to 2 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will follow in the chapel at 2 pm.

Barbara was born January 28, 1952 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late John Bryant Bolton and Ruth Horton Bolton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Dale McCrary, a brother, John Bolton, and sister-in-law, Kathy Bolton.

Barbara had a long career in nursing. She worked in senior care facilities where she showed love and compassion to her residents. She had a passion for jewelry, and the family always knew just what to get her on those special occasions. Barbara loved spending quality time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Troy McCrary, Jr; daughter, Cynthia Wilson and her husband, Tommy “Wormy”; sons, Jimmy McCrary, Sr., and Chuck McCrary; grandchildren, Bryan (Stephanie), Sara, Crystal (Robert), JJ, Justin, Heather, Courtney, Kayleigh (Spencer), Ericka, Zane, Nathan and Mary; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Cecil Bolton, and Kenneth Bolton and his wife, Dolly; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
