Arnold Morton

August 8, 1938 — September 25, 2019

Mr. Arnold Wayne Morton, age 81 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Sunday, September 29 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm at West Concord Cemetery with Joey Clark officiating. The family will be at the home of his sister, Doris Kimball the remaining time.

Mr Morton was born August 8, 1938 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Wilton Neal Morton and Myrtle Lee Shoe Morton. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Lee Morton, sons, Toby and Kenneth Morton, sister, Barbara Crocker and brothers, Herman, Ray and Bobby.

Arnold retired from Kraftsmen Hosiery Mill. He loved all kinds of music, doing small engine repairs and tinkering. He mostly loved sitting out on the front porch with his wife and being with his family. He will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Linda Coggins Morton; son, Steven Morton; stepson, Herman Wagner; sister, Doris Kimball; brother, Doyt Morton and wife, Carolyn; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
