Anne Marie Beneduce

January 31, 1928 — February 15, 2016

Anne Beneduce of Concord, NC, born on Jan. 31, 1928 went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2016. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Catherine and Daniel Francolino. Anne and her beloved late husband Eugene, Sr. who went home in 2009 , resided in Waldwick, NJ from 1956 – 1983, and Lanoka Harbor, NJ from 1983 – 2010 . After he passed, she moved to Concord, NC to be close to family.
Visitation will be at Wilkinson Funeral Home, 100 Branchview Dr., NE in Concord on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm, followed by a service in the Wilkinson Chapel at 7:00 pm, officiated by Pastor John Curran of He’s Alive Church in Kannapolis. After that, she will be taken back to New Jersey where there will be visitation at Layton’s Funeral Home, 250 W. Lacey Rd. Forked River, NJ on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 11:00-12:00, with a service following at 12:15pm. After that, burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ beside the love of her life, Eugene, Sr.
A devoted wife and mother, after retirement she and Eugene, Sr. enjoyed travelling across the United States and Europe – especially Italy to learn about their ancestry.
Anne’s passion was her family. Although a devout Catholic for most of her life, she truly enjoyed attending He’s Alive Church of Kannapolis, NC. She also enjoyed dining out at some of her favorite local restaurants, Gianni’s Trattoria, Forty-Six Restaurant and Afton Tavern.
She is survived by 2 sons, Eugene, Jr. and daughter-in-law Debbie of Concord, NC, as well as son Andrew and daughter-in-law Loretta of Greenwood Lake, NY. Anne was a wonderful grandmother to Gregory Beneduce and wife Sheryl of Kannapolis, NC, proud step-grandmother of Jennifer and Rich Costabile of Ossining, NY as well as Michelle and Chris Olson of Wallkill, NY. She also has two step-great-grandchildren, Olivia Costabile and Danica Olson.
Anne is also survived by her younger brother, Joseph Francolino, Sr. and sister-in-law Ann of Staten Island, NY. She has two nephews, Daniel and Joseph Francolino, Jr. and their families of Staten Island, NY.
The family is grateful for the support and care she received from Hospice, as well as the caring staff at Brookdale Concord Parkway in Concord, where she resided until her death.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 in memory of Anne Beneduce.
