Alberto Centurion, 63, of Concord NC, passed away on 10/26/2023 after a long battle with kidney disease, surrounded by his loving family.
Alberto was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Celia Rodriguez and Nicolas Centurion on February 13th, 1960. He was part of a large, loving family and had 6 brothers and sisters. He began his professional career as part of the police force in Mexico City, climbing to the rank of Lieutenant after completing his bachelors degree in Criminology and graduating from the police academy.
Alberto married Rocio Fuentes on May 22nd, 1982 in Mexico City. At the time of his passing, they had been married for 41 years. Together they had 3 beautiful children, Alberto, Rocio and Rodrigo. Alberto was blessed with 7 wonderful grandchildren, 5 boys and 2 girls.
Alberto was a very active member at St. James Catholic Church and cemetery prior to his debilitation from his illness. He made it his mission to help those around him to the best of his ability. He volunteered as part of the cemetery staff and fundraising events as well as being a mentor for many members of the church. He enjoyed cooking and ran a private catering company for approximately 8 years. One of his favorite activities was volunteering to host a food stall for the church fundraisers. He would spend most of his time talking and laughing with those around him.
Remaining to cherish Alberto’s memory are his wife, Rocio Fuentes Centurion; Siblings, Esperanza and Alejandro Acho; Children, Alberto Centurion, Rocio Rosado, Rodrigo Centurion; Grand-Children, Giuseppe and Roman Centurion; Victor, Gabriel, Leyla and Nathan Rosado; and Delilah Centurion along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding Alberto in death are his parents, Celia and Nicolas Centurion; Siblings, Mauro, Lola, Esther, and Lourdes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 31st 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave SW Concord NC 28025, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with Mass to be held starting at 1:00pm. Mass will be officiated by Father Oscar Rojas. Burial will take place at St James Cemetery immediately after Mass. Refreshments will be provided at St. James Catholic Church by the Ladies Guild once the burial has concluded.
