Phyllis Ann Rhinehart, 85, of Concord, North Carolina passed away on November 16, 2019, at the Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.

She was born September 3, 1934, in Floyd County, Georgia, to the late Clara Herring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Rhinehart, and her eldest daughter Paige Adams.

She was a graduate of Armurchee High School. She lived the earlier part of her life in Georgia and the later part in Concord, North Carolina.

She is survived by three children, Sharon Bowlin (Kelly), Tangie Russell, and Matthew Ginn. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Stephen Adams, Megan Himes, Alison Himes, Brittani Russell, Preston Ruff, and Hannah Johnson, and five great grandchildren, Hayden Moore, Avery Moore, Chase Moore, Jasmine Fountain, and Arwin White.

She worked many years as a secretary and bookkeeper but her las work experience was at Concord Telephone in directory assistance. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Concord First Assembly at the weekly Senior luncheon and also at her church New Hope Worship Center answering the phone when needed.

She attended and loved her church family at New Hope Worship Center after attending First Assembly for many years. When her illness made it where she could not go to church or the senior luncheon, her friends would come to her home to spend time with her, which she enjoyed immensely.

The family would like to thank Anita Sanford, her nurse, from Carolina Care (Hospice) for her care. The family would thank Annie Mullis, who served as her primary and daily caretaker for many months and during the most difficult times of her illness.

A celebration of life will he held on December 7, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home in Concord, North Carolina. Pastor Dale Jenkins will officiate the service. The family will receive friends after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the givers church or charity of

The news of Ann's passing comes to us as bittersweet. The agony of suffering in the course of her illness seems so bitter, so
undeserved; for a lady of such tender, kind, and loving spirit, which brought out her sweetness.
Our relationship with Ann began in the latter part of 1970, as we had the pleasure of working together at the Pete Garcia Company. During those years that followed, we grew to love and appreciate her. To this day, that appreciation continues and will do so as life goes on.
Though Ann is gone, her spirit will remain with those whose life she touched.
Ramon and Brenda B.Garcia

Though Ann is gone, she will not be forgotten. Her spirit will remain with all whose life she touched.

Everyone should be so fortunate to have a neighbor and friend like Phyllis. She was kind, considerate and generous. She was a wonderful cookie baker, especially those delicious fruit cake cookies, and she enjoyed sharing them with her neighbors. We will always miss her.
