The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Steven "Steve" Minderlein can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a great man and a good friend, even though I only knew him online. But knowing that little piece of him made my world that much better. I can only imagine what a great impact he made on those who knew him personally. His passing leaves a hole that can never be filled, but his impact on each of our lives made us a better person. His memory will live on in each of us. I know he loved his wife and son dearly,as he spoke of them frequently and fondly.

Condolence: Sharon, Scott & Dana, Tara please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Steve or as we at the Knights Klub and ESG called him "Eagle". I have known Eagle for years from his castle age gaming times. I did not know him well outside of Castle Age game play but I will say that he was respected, loved and cared about by all of us. We have known Steve for almost a decade or more through FB - CA. Steve is a great loss to ESG. More importantly we hv lost a dear friend and a loving brother - whom we have come to love dearly as our very own extended family member . Steve is fondly known to us as the Fearsome “Balding” Eagle . He will be missed by all of us.
Dear Sharon, we may not have known you but Steve does speak of you and his family fondly all the time. His sudden departure had taken us by surprise. We are truly sorry and our deepest condolences to you and your family. We pray that the Lord’s peace will keep the family throughout these difficult times

Condolence: May God give the family strength and peace at this time and in the days too come. Steve will be missed. I worked with Steve at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. He was smart. Funny and cared about patients and staff. Your father left a great legacy with his military service and the many people he served while he was in Healthcare.

Condolence: I had the pleasureo of working with Steve in the ICU at Mercy during the late 1980's. Steve was an awesome nurse, excellent teacher and fine colleague. One of my memories is of him loading up his truck with wood to ensure good weight/traction when it would snow. Sending thoughts and prayers to Sharon and Scott.

Condolence From: Bill Focht
Condolence: Steve was a good man and will be missed. I know he was really proud of his son Scott and loved his wife Sharon dearly. Anne worked with Steve a long time at Mercy as members of the “old Mercy Gang”. She really liked Steve and they got along great. We had some good times tailgating at the Panthers games with Steve’s Dad Jerry, Steve, and Scott and Dan and Lee and a bunch of other Mercy People. We used to play cards at Wayne Hudson’s house every Super Bowl Sunday. If I’d win a hand and take Steve’s money he’d look at me and say, “you son of a b””ch”. And I’d laugh and laugh. Steve had a good solid soul and I considered a good friend. Anne and I will miss him. Rest In Peace brother. Bill and Anne Focht.
