Obituary for Steven "Steve" Minderlein

Mr. Steven “Steve” Gerard Minderlein, 67 of Concord passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The family will hold a private Memorial Service at a later date.

Mr. Minderlein was born on August 2, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to the late Gerard A. and Ruth Thelma Adams Minderlein. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sharon Lowrance Minderlein and son, Mr. Scott Minderlein and wife Dana and Sister-in law Tara Lowrance of Salisbury.

Steve was a Corpsman with the US Navy from 1970-1974, having served during the Vietnam War. He loved fishing, NASCAR racing, football and especially supported the Carolina Panthers. He was a proud graduate of Louise Harkey School of Nursing. Steve began his 41-year nursing career at Cabarrus

Memorial Hospital and then moved to Mercy Hospital, retiring from there in 2009. He Continued to help the community by teaching BCLS, ACLS and other classes until 2017.
